ARC of the Treasure Coast is Hiring a Companion Near Jupiter, FL
- Provides care and oversight of Individuals in a variety of settings
- Implements and documents goals in Individual’s Support Plan
- Provides age and culturally appropriate activities for all Individuals
- Supports and emphasizes community inclusive qualities in various community settings and also participates in said activities
- Helps Individual develop independent living skills
- Completes documentation as required by regulations
- Maintains regular contact with immediate supervisor regarding the Individual’s progress
- Provides personal care as needed
- Transport Individuals to scheduled activities
- Attends required scheduled training sessions and staff meetings
- Accurately documents data as service provision occurs
- Reports any significant event or accident requiring an Incident Report to a supervisor immediately
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned
- Developmental disabilities
- Work under pressure and with interruptions and challenging deadlines
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Engage active listening skills with all employees and Individuals
- High School diploma or GED certification
